He later became a member of the group The Boy Band Project. They covered several popular songs and uploaded them to YouTube. However, after the birth of his daughter, Perez quit the band and pursued the career of a fire-fighter. In 2016, Perez and his new group The WVKE auditioned for ‘America Got Talent’ but were eliminated. A year later, he appeared in the show ‘Boy Band,’ where he was ultimately voted as one of the five finalists who became the members of the new band In Real Life.
