After welcoming her second addition to the family, a son named Jacob, Carrie Underwood is looking forward to ‘bouncing back.’ As you may know, during pregnancy, women tend to gain a bit of extra weight and it seems like the same happened in the case of the country singer.

That being said, Carrie took to social media earlier today to tell her followers al about her weight loss plan.

She admitted that it has been really difficult to get back in shape and love the way she looks at this stage.

‘I’m going to be honest, ‘bouncing back’ after Jacob has been much more difficult than after having Isaiah and I have been pretty hard on myself lately. I go to the gym and I cannot run as fast or as far. I cannot lift as much weight or do as many reps as I could a year ago. I really want to feel like myself again…for my body to feel the way I know it can,’ Underwood wrote.

She went on to add that ‘I was working out today and I realized that for the past 11 (ish) months, my body’s not belonged to me. It was the perfect home for Jacob. And even now it still belongs to him every time he drinks his milk.’

The woman then promised her many followers that she will start focusing more on what her body ‘can’ do and not what it ‘can’t,’ especially now that she has been getting ready for all kinds of red carpets.

Carrie had Jacob with husband Mike Fisher back in January.
