Camila Cabello, the singer and actress, has taken her image into her own hands, and just posted a selfie on her stories of herself in an orange bathing suit. This comes after she was annoyed that the paparazzi turn every beach trip into an unsanctioned photo shoot. "I held my core so tight my abs hurt and didn't breathe and barely smiled and was so self conscious of where the paps were the whole time i couldn't let go and relax and do what we're meant to do when we go out into nature," she said of one trip. Cabello prioritizes her self-care habits and routine. She says that she gives her body what it wants each day, and that this has helped with her wellbeing. "It is such a sign of self-care and self-love to listen and to respond [to your body]—getting back to that childlike joy, happiness, and expression again," Cabello says to Vogue. When it comes to self-care, "I think there's a lot of what we might consider common sense things…Physical health, things like exercise, maybe diets, sleep, categories like that. And then maybe more of a psychological end of things. How are you doing things to manage your own emotional wellbeing? Maybe relaxation techniques. Socialization fits in there a little bit. There are a lot of different avenues there. And then spiritual wellbeing. Everybody has a different definition of that. It could be something like an organized religion. It could be somebody's connection with nature. There's a lot of leeway in that. Cabello has become a fashion and makeup icon. She says to Vogue that makeup is a big part of her wellness routine. Cabello says that she likes to take risks with her makeup, and that it gives her more confidence. "I think having more confidence, being more playful about it, and using it as another way of creative and artistic expression changed my relationship with makeup." 

Cabello tells Vogue that fashion is another big part of her wellness. She says that trying on clothes makes her happy, and she always puts thought into her daily outfits."For me, within like the first 20 minutes of my day, if I put on something that makes me feel cute, that's instant serotonin."

Cabello makes sure to get her beauty sleep each night. One way she does so is by not staying up too late. "Circadian rhythm is a real thing," she says to Glamour. "I try to not go to sleep after 10:30. When I go to sleep later than midnight, I tend to get worse quality sleep, even if I sleep the same amount."

Mental health and wellbeing is extremely important to Cabello. Specifically, her overall happiness. She tells Glamour that she puts her happiness first, and makes sure to do things consistently that make her happy. "It's important to be on top of not just what's making you sad or anxious, but also what's giving you joy," she says. "I want to be happy and enjoy my life. That's kind of it." She is also upfront about body image: ""I reminded myself when it impacted my self esteem that I was thinking the culture's thoughts and not my own," she wrote. "A culture who has gotten so used to an image of what a 'healthy' woman's body looks like that is completely not real for a lot of women."
