Bryson Burks Death, Howard Payne University football and baseball Player
Daniel Lopez Bryson Burks, a multi-talented athlete, student leader, and founder of the Kidney Head Foundation, has passed away at the age of 20. Born to Chris Johnson Burks and grandson of Trish Johnson, Bryson was not only a dedicated sportsman but also a compassionate soul. His love for baseball and football at Howard Payne University made him a cherished member of the athletic community. However, his story goes beyond the fields and courts, as it intertwines with a profound commitment to helping others.
Bryson’s journey with Kidney Head began as a response to the life-altering lessons he and his mother learned during his father Brett’s battle with kidney disease. Losing his father at the tender age of 10 fueled Bryson’s determination to make a difference in the lives of those grappling with similar challenges. The foundation focuses on providing support to children with kidney disease undergoing dialysis, fueled by Bryson’s firsthand understanding of the stress and pain his father endured.
Bryson’s legacy is not just a story of personal triumph over tragedy but a testament to the positive impact one person can have on the lives of many. He was invited to attend the 100th anniversary of the Kiwanis Club in Brownwood, Texas, where he had the opportunity to connect with influential figures.
My sweet baby boy Bryson went to be with his daddy and his lord and savior in heaven late last night, December 18th, just a few hours before his 20th birthday on December 19th. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I can’t live without my beautiful boy. I just can’t find more words at this time. I have been surrounded by his friends and their parents. They are loving me and take care of me. I am in shock. I will never be alright again.
