According to police records, the motorcyclist from Lincoln who perished in a collision on Tuesday in northeast Lincoln has been identified as Braedon Timm, age 21.

According to Erika Thomas, a spokeswoman for the Lincoln Police Department, Timm passed away at a nearby hospital on Tuesday after colliding with an SUV close to 84th and Holdrege streets at around 1:30 p.m.

According to police investigator Alan Pickering, the 21-year-old was driving his Kawasaki motorcycle south on 84th Street when he crossed Holdrege Street.

According to the accident report, Michel Drahota, 75, of Lincoln, was turning left onto Holdrege Street from the northbound lane of 84th Street as the 21-year-old entered the intersection.

Pickering said that Timm struck Drahota’s Toyota RAV4.

Timm was transported to a nearby hospital by Lincoln Fire and Rescue teams, where he passed away on Tuesday, according to Thomas.

Timm graduated from Lincoln North Star High School in 2020.

Drahota was unharmed in the collision. A 78-year-old Lincoln woman riding in her SUV sustained minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital, according to Thomas.

Although Thomas said witnesses said Timm was speeding and changing lanes just before the disaster, investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
