Biography

Bryan Christopher Williams (born February 15, 1969), widely recognized by his stage name Birdman, is a shrewd record executive, music producer, songwriter, and rapper. The year 1992 marked a pivotal moment in the music industry as Birdman, in tandem with his brother Ronald “Slim” Williams, laid the foundation for the iconic Cash Money Records.

Birdman not only serves as the charismatic face of the company but also showcases his musical prowess as a solo artist, having graced the industry with five studio albums of his own. 

Furthermore, Birdman adds a distinctive flavour to the hip-hop landscape as a vital member of the dynamic duo Big Tymers, where his creative synergy with the gifted producer Mannie Fresh comes to life.

Early Life & Education

Birdman was born in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 15, 1969. However, his path was marked by profound hardships, starting with the tragic loss of his mother, Gladys Brooks, in a shooting incident when he was a mere two years old.

In addition to this early loss, Birdman‘s relationship with his father, Johnnie Williams, was marked by frequent absences. Consequently, Birdman‘s upbringing was largely entrusted to his grandmother, and he spent significant time at his father’s bars.

Birdman shared his life within his family circle with two younger siblings, Ronald “Slim” Williams and Tamara Williams. However, formal education beyond high school was separate from Birdman‘s journey.

Career

Birdman embarked on his journey as a rapper in the early 1990s, forging an alliance with Big Tymers to release their inaugural album, I Got It Like That. This inaugural venture struck a resounding chord, amassing sales surpassing the million mark within the United States alone. Expanding upon this initial triumph, Birdman and the Big Tymers continued their collaborative odyssey, birthing a succession of prosperous albums, including Get Your Hustle On (1997), How Ya Luv That? (2000), and I Got That Work (2003).

In the annals of Birdman‘s solo career, his first individual opus, Birdman, took flight in 2002, scaling the heights of commercial success by clinching the pinnacle of the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. His solo discography further burgeoned with the release of three additional albums: Fast Money in 2005, 500 Degreez in 2006, and Pricele$$ in 2010.

In 2014, a highly publicized feud erupted between Birdman and Lil Wayne, with Lil Wayne levelling accusations of withheld earnings against Birdman. Personal Life

Birdman and Toni Braxton were romantically involved between 2018 and 2019. Although they got engaged in February 2018, they decided to end their engagement in January 2019.

Surprisingly, Toni Braxton and Birdman confirmed they had reconciled in April of the same year. As of now, it remains uncertain if they are currently in a relationship. 

Additionally, Birdman is the father of two children named Bria Williams and Bryan Williams Jr. Birdman, 54, who has never been married, celebrates his birthday every February 15.

Birdman has also been in relationships with Keyshia Cole (2014), Grace Chavez (2011–2016), Kimora Lee Simmons (2004–2014), Trina (1998–2002), Mia Dumas (1995–2000), and Just Brittany. He had an encounter with Tamar Braxton.
