Bill Murphy is the stage and screen alias of William A. Murphy (born 14 February 1963), an Irish actor, writer, and producer. In 2022, he is well-known for his portrayal of Øgda in Vikings: Valhalla.

He has acted in movies including Moving Target (1996), My Brother’s War (1997), Criminal Affairs (1997), and Ordinary Decent Criminal (2000). (2000).  He also played Nick Barret on the RTÉ One soap drama Fair City in 2003. He has also been in TV shows like Jack Taylor (2010) and Titanic: Blood and Steel (2012).

He has appeared in Once theater shows from 2015 to 2017. The Country Girls (2019), Joyce’s Women, and [6] (2022). He co-wrote, co-produced, and played the lead role in the 2022 short film Lily’s Theme.
