Husband and wife Beyoncé and Jay-Z landed in hot water after a video surfaced showing that they did not stand up for the national anthem at Super Bowl LIV which was performed by Demi Lovato.

The famous pair attended the big game in Miami, Florida, with their oldest daughter, Blue Ivy, who also opted to stay in her seat during the performance.

The clip went viral, and many shared their thoughts on the matter, including Colin Kaepernick and conservative political commentator and former television host Tomi Lahren.

Tomi slammed the power couple and said: “You hate the police, Donald Trump, and the spirit of this nation so much you can’t pick your privileged asses off the chair for 2 mins to pay some respect? Despicable. Beyoncé & Jay-Z (former crack dealer)sit for the national anthem because apparently, the United States of America has oppressed them with millions upon millions of dollars & fans. Sounds rough. Maybe they should try another country that allows them a little more freedom & success?”

One person had this reaction: “THEY BIG MAD Jay & Beyoncé sat down during the Anthem 😂😂😂 (At least they didn’t KNEEL… that was the PROBLEM right??) 😂😂 Why does everyone care about what she thinks or says… Y’all know we can mute her right!!?”

Another commenter claimed: “You’re so brainwashed by your criminal government…🙄 I pity you. I’m happy I’m not American, and I applaud Beyoncé and JayZ for not taking a stand in that criminal state you are defending. I’m assuming you haven’t studied politics, so are completely unaware of the disgusting things your government is up to and why it sends innocent civilians to war in other countries.
