Ben Roberts-Smith is a well-known Australian businessman, former Australian Army soldier who is currently facing a defamatory case in court.

He is being accused of ordering the execution of an elderly Afghan man and murdering another man who had a prosthetic leg, a statement he made against a newspaper.

Ben Roberts-Smith was sometime in 2006 made the most highly decorated serving member of the Australian Defence Force at the Medal for Gallantry.
