Daniel Lopez Kenny Jackson, a beloved high school basketball player from Rochester, New York, died at the age of 43.
Kenny Jackson, a former high school basketball player from Rochester, NY, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 43. He was once selected as the best high school boys basketball player in Section V. Jackson was a kind, compassionate, and down-to-earth individual with an “easy-going nature.” He was named the Democrat and Chronicle’s All-Greater Rochester Player of the Year as a junior at Edison Tech and became a paraprofessional at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School in Rochester.
Jackson was placed on the varsity team as the guard in his sophomore year in 1997-98. His athletic prowess led his team to victory in the Section V Championship for the first time. He was named City-Catholic League All-Star, a title he won again when he played as point guard for Edison. He also won the 1998-99 AGR Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player of Section V Class A Tournament.

Jackson owned a business called Action Jackson Construction Home Improvements and forged lasting bonds with everyone he encountered with his friendly demeanor and kindness. He loved his family and supported them in their every venture. His son, Zymier, became the best quarterback in Section V and Jackson supported his dreams.
Jackson always greeted everyone with a smile and got along with everyone, passing down the same traits of kindness and hospitality to his sons.
