Apryl Jones was raised in a middle-class family, with a strong parental background. She was born on the 15th of December, 1986. She was born and raised in Chicago. Not much is known about her formal education history but after graduating high school, she set out to college where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Science. After college, she took the natural next step and got a job, working at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago as a medical examiner.

As a result of being disillusioned by life as medical personnel and her passion for the entertainment industry, especially singing, she summoned up courage and gave up the safety of her medical career for a career in Hollywood. She set out for Los Angeles, with nothing more than the belief in her talents and her passion for music.

In her hometown, she was a part of a girl group, Callareign which had its own set of fans in her local community in Chicago. It was the confidence of being a member of that group and the belief in her own talents that made her apply to different music competitions when she got to Los Angeles.

First, she signed up for American Idol but she was unable to make it to the top of the show. She also signed up for Making the Band, but it wasn’t meant to be for her and then she finally signed up for the Search For The Next Doll show, which was a competition that was created for the newly formed Pussycat Dolls. Through persistence and luck, she was introduced to Omarion, who made her a backup singer and she then began to go with the artist on tours.

Omarion and Apryl Jones, through working in close proximity with each other, got involved and began a relationship. In the course of their relationship, she starred in the television show – Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood. She started starring on the show in 2014 and was a cast on the show till 2017.
