Basketball star Angel Reese is showing off the powerful 6-foot-3-inch physique that has made her a force to be reckoned with on the court. Reese, 21, shared bathroom selfies where she's posing in a silver bikini with matching jewelry and a towel around her waist, her enviable muscles on full display. Reese has an athletic background, and did ballet, cheerleading, track, and volleyball growing up. Her mother also played basketball. "My whole family played basketball," she says. "My aunts played basketball, my brother plays basketball, my grandparents played basketball. So, it kind of was like, 'You're gonna do this.' I used to go to my mom's games when I was younger. She used to play in a little league, and I used to always go watch her games on Sundays. That was something that was always inspiring to me. She's always been independent and she molded that into me. I am who I am because of her."

Reese is proud of her work for Sports Illustrated, saying it helped her have confidence in her strength and appearance. "I had on thong bathing suits and I didn't think I was going to be comfortable, but [everyone] made me feel really comfortable," she says. "I work out a lot. Reese doesn't allow criticism to negatively affect her mental health and wellbeing. "For me, you take the good with the bad – I get a lot of positives, so I understand there will be negative and if you're not getting hate, you're not doing something right," she says. "People will always have something to say and it's normal in the world – they can't change anything I do or my perspective of things, as I'm going to stand on what I say. That's just how I move with things."

Reese has big plans for her career after basketball. "Basketball will stop at some point; however, my current goal is to get drafted in the WNBA after college," she says. "I would like to be able to start my own fashion line for taller women, which is important for me. My edges, nails, and lashes are always laid, so I would like to come out with a lash line, edge control line, and maybe some bundles, too."

Reese is grateful she was allowed to discover a love for basketball on her own terms. "[My mother] let me do whatever. I ran track; I did volleyball; I did a little bit of swimming, gymnastics and cheer," she says. "She never put it on me that I had to play basketball because she did, so she let me experience and do whatever I wanted to do. I just finally decided basketball was going to be my thing. I was kind of good at it, and I was really competitive."
