Ashley is a professional surfer. Naturally, the main way she stays in shape is by surfing. "I feel the most confident and beautiful when I'm my healthiest, surfing every day and on a great regimen both in and out of the water," she says to E! News. "Feeling good inside translates to looking good on the outside!"

Surfing isn't the only exercise Ashley likes to do in the water. She also loves to go swimming and diving. She shared these photos of herself snorkeling in Kahala on Instagram. Ashley captioned the post, "Under the sea." According to the CDC, swimming has a lot of benefits for your body and mind. "Swimming is the fourth most popular sports activity in the United States and a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses."

Ashley is a big believer in positivity. She also believes in promoting positivity. Ashley says to AskMen.com that she wants to use her platform for good. "You should use your platform to better other people's lives, as cheesy as that sounds. At least if you don't have a career, do something with yourself that's positive."

Ashley loves to bike as a way to stay in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself going for a ride through the mountains. Ashley captioned it, "Surf girl hits the rocks." Ashley opened up about what it is like to be a female professional surfer to Refinery29. She says that she didn't have a lot of female role models in the surfing community, growing up. Ashey says that she wants to be the role model she didn't have for young girls out there.  "I want to be out there and show you can be a strong, fearless, independent athlete and be a woman," she says. "Growing up, it wasn't a cool thing to be a female athlete or a female surfer."
