America’s Got Talent and NBC has come under fire after it was revealed that Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough were let go. After rumors spread that the reasoning was due to appearance and a toxic workplace environment, Hollywood is sticking up for the women who were said to be treated unfairly.

Now, the production company behind the show is speaking up.

Fremantle and series creator Simon Cowell’s Syco released a statement that read: ‘We remain committed to ensuring a respectful workplace for all employees and take very seriously any questions about workplace culture. We are working with Ms. Union through her representatives to hear more about her concerns, following which we will take whatever next steps may be appropriate.’

This comes after it was reported that Gabrielle was told that her hairstyles were ‘too black’ for the show. Additionally, it was said that the actress reported a racist joke made by Jay Leno that never even made its way to human resources.

Many people were not surprised to hear about the incidents that took place on set because of Nick Cannon’s experience as a host on the show.

The comedian was threatened with termination by the show after he made a racial joke on his Showtime special. Cannon stood up for himself and left the show.

He has spoken about trying to be silenced by NBC multiple times.

Meanwhile, the same report that detailed Union’s problems on the family-friendly series also claimed that Julianne Hough was subject to criticism over her body.

Hough has denied the claims with her own statement that read: ‘I had a wonderful time on ‘America’s Got Talent.’ I loved working with the cast, crew and producers. I am happy to continue my working relationship with NBC… I’m looking forward to what the future holds.’

Hopefully, NBC and America’s Got Talent are being genuine with their statement that says they will hear Gabrielle out.
