Abigail Daniella Phillip, born in either 1988 or 1989, is an American journalist who works as a political correspondent and weekend anchor for CNN.

She had worked at prestigious businesses such as The Washington Post, ABC News, and Politico.

Phillip co-moderated the seventh Democratic debate during the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries on January 14, 2020, at Drake University.

Some people, however, attacked her for supposedly treating Bernie Sanders unfairly while moderating the event.

Abby Phillip signed a book deal with Flatiron Books in 2020 for her novel The Dream Deferred. The book goes into Reverend Jesse Jackson’s 1988 candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Although the book was supposed to be released in 2022, it has yet to be published as of June 2023.
